Team behind Kenilworth School new site construction to offer guidance at careers fayre

Posted on: 19/11/2021

Contractors working on the new Kenilworth School being built in Glasshouse Lane are among professionals who will be talking to students at the school’s careers fayre next week.

Some of the Morgan Sindall Construction team will be chatting to students from years 10 to 13 about careers within the building industry at the event, which takes place in Upper School Hall on Tuesday November 23 between 2.30pm and 6pm.

Project director Richard Frape and his team are particularly keen on encouraging more women into the industry.

He says around half a dozen of the 20-plus strong team currently on the construction site site are female.

His company is also giving first refusal for a new job as a supply chain trainee at its regional head office in Solihull to a student from Kenilworth Sixth Form as part of its drive to recruit more local people.

Several of those on site at the moment are on graduate training programmes, with one employee taking part in an apprenticeship scheme, highlighting the range of opportunities available for students when they leave full time education.
