National Apprenticeship Week

Posted on: 8/02/2024

Louis Blandford said: “This apprenticeship has been excellent for gaining both knowledge and practical experience. Two notable advantages include the absence of any incurred cost to me personally, and the availability of one full day per week dedicated solely to my studies. The structure allows me to promptly apply what I learn, as I can delve into a task on my study day and then implement it within the KMAT environment the following day. This not only enhances my skills but also contributes to the broader team by enabling me to take on additional responsibilities, thereby freeing up my colleagues to focus on other priorities.

I've been fortunate to receive strong support from KMAT, including the IT team and the broader central team. While the course demands a significant time commitment from both myself and the colleagues supporting me at KMAT, the long-term benefits are evident. This commitment fosters a valuable exchange of knowledge, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the apprenticeship.

Hayden Abbott CEO said: “Embarking on an apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to initiate your career, especially if you have a specific trajectory in mind. Numerous fields present viable alternatives to traditional university routes. At KMAT, we hold apprenticeships in high regard, and Lewis stands as a noteworthy success story, having been a former student at Kenilworth School. Whether you aspire to pursue apprenticeships in teaching, teaching assistance, administration, IT, HR, finance, or facilities, we encourage you to reach out by emailing hr@kmat.org.uk  to explore if we can assist you in commencing an apprenticeship career journey via the KMAT”.
