College: Google WCG to find Warwickshire College Group. Browse using a key word in the ‘subject’ box. To apply press ‘apply’ and this will take you to a short registration form.
Press submit and your application will go through. Coventry College – www.coventrycollege.ac.uk apply through their website. Stratford College – www.stratford.ac.uk – apply through website. (Their open event on the 25th March has been cancelled)
Apprenticeships – Google ‘Find an apprenticeship’ and this will take you to the government website. Register with Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training – www.cw-chambertraining.co.uk dependant on the sector you wish to go into. They deal with Business, Accountancy, Hairdressing, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Customer Service.
Register with JCP Training – www.jbctraining.co.uk - they deal with IT, Digital Marketing and Cyber Security. MTC – www.amtc.co.uk – they deal with manufacturing and engineering.
I suggest looking directly on the company website if you have a place in mind – see if they offer apprenticeships. If a trade such as Electrician; Plumber; research local employers who may be willing to take on an apprentice. Eg: Google ‘Electricians near me’.
Under the present circumstances Work Experience will not be going ahead for Year 11 or Year 12.
If you have already arranged work experience, please notify the employer that you will now be unable to attend. Ordinarily we would carry out Health & Safety checks/Risk assessments, however now this will not be done.
Miss Brennan - Careers Adviser.
