Sixth Form update- Maths test and Introductory day

Posted on: 18/06/2020

We will give you more information about the Enrolment Procedure on GCSE Results Day on

Thursday 20 August 2020.

Introductory Day

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our planned Introductory Day on Friday 3 July 2020 due to the current situation with Covid 19.

We will make sure your transition into Sixth Form in September is as smooth and as 'worry free' as possible and we are looking forward to meeting you all again at the start of your Sixth Form Journey.

A Level Mathematics Courses

For any students who have enlisted to study one of the Mathematics options either Mathematics, Further Mathematics or Statistics, we have made a decision that it is not practical to hold our diagnostic assessment prior to the summer holiday as planned.  This is due to the current pandemic.

Therefore, the test will take place in your first week back at school in September.

In order that you are well prepared the Mathematics Department have provided work, on the school website which mirrors the content of that assessment.  The work will also be critical to keeping your mathematical skillset sharp in preparation for starting the A-Level courses.  Should you be uncertain on a given topic, links are provided to supportive websites.

This work is compulsory.  All students are expected to complete it and bring it with them to their first lesson in September when it will be reviewed.

If you have any concerns or queries about anything, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Mrs Milton our email addresses are: or

Take care, stay safe and we will see you all on GCSE Results day!
