KSN is going True

Posted on: 12/02/2021

This half term Kenilworth School has developed the T.R.U.E (Time, Relax, Unwind and Explore) initiative. This video in conjunction with the PDF that has been emailed out to you is a suggestion of fun filled activities that you and your families can all participate in over half term and beyond.

You will be able to watch and catch up with the latest news from USU's Africa week and how they are working considering the lockdown. The Space, Rocket and Robot club launches online from Tuesday 16th February@ 4pm - 5pm, but why wait....go and count your lucky stars and join in with the dark skies project and build your own solar system at home.  Relive the magical and awe-inspiring moment when students at Kenilworth School spoke live to NASA astronaut Serena Anon-Chancellor onboard the International Space Station.

This online club's initiative has been inspired by a successful trial with the Warhammer club online which runs weekly every Friday from 4pm - 5pm during term time.

You can join in the Kenilworth School Charity Run for the NHS, or why not try your hand at pancake making and flipping.  We are also holding our very own Kenilworth School Pet Beauty Pageant in conjunction with a few local businesses.  Two inspiring guest speakers are included, as well from Gareth Southgate, England Football Manager being interviewed by Sharky. This page also includes a talk about the work and roles that women play within NASA by Debbie Martinez Nasa astronaut.

These are just a few of the fantastic activities and ideas that can be found as part of the T.R.U.E initiative. Please watch the video below and check out the school newsletter that has been sent by email for further details.
