Kenilworth School and Sixth Form

Meet The Senior Leadership Team

Introduction from Darren Nicholas, Headteacher, Kenilworth School

Welcome to our senior team. Our aim is to give you an insight into who we are, what we do and what drives us to make a difference to the lives of our students. The progress of each and every student matters to us, regardless of academic starting points, socio-economic background, gender, ethnicity or religion.

What unites us as a team is our inclusive approach to teaching and learning, combined with our relentless support and ambition for our young people. We share a goal to provide our students with an enjoyable learning experience that nurtures a keen interest in life-long learning and develops ‘etiquette for success’ in our students.

We are a dedicated team who support and challenge each other through the highs and lows of running a school. We all have different strengths and abilities but, with mutual respect for one other and our unshakeable belief in the value of what we are doing for our pupils, we enjoy creating a ‘world class’ school that is a flagship for inclusion.

I teach English and have had a number of different roles within the school before my current position as Deputy Head. I began as ICT coordinator for English then became Assistant Head of Year, Head of Year and Assistant Head.
