Congratulations to the two teams who represented the school in the Midland Region Heat of the Kids Lit Quiz, which was held at Bablake School. The question master was Wayne Mills, who originated the quiz in New Zealand and is touring Britain to find a winner to take part in the international final next year.
 
The teams answered questions on a variety of themes related to children's literature, ranging from bears to baddies. There was a very exciting atmosphere, more like a sporting event than a reading quiz. The teams scored consistently well, gaining third and fifth places out of twenty teams, and these were the highest places for local comprehensive schools.
